It’s very possible that without a plentiful supply of tea for the passengers and staff alike, the whole railway network in Britain would grind to a shuddering halt. Of course, this could be speculation, but is it really worth taking the risk?

We certainly don’t think so, which is why our buffet coach at Weston Wharf Station is stocked with a variety of hot and cold drinks and snacks to quench your thirst, or warm you up while you’re waiting for a train on those days when the weather is less than perfect.

The buffet can be found in the ex LNER mk3 coach parked on the siding at Weston, which can be accessed via the walkway in the middle of the platform. This coach once saw service on the East Coast Main Line, and offers 1st class seating inside, and picnic benches outside, ideal for warmer days when you want to sit out and enjoy a brew while watching the trains go by.
