Join us for a special weekend of heritage rail operations with extra trains, a brewery evening service on Saturday and bus links to make visiting all of our sites easy and convenient. Services start at 10:30 on both days from Oswestry and Llynclys.
Travel & accessibility
To help you move around the event we will be operating rail replacement buses on both days:
Gobowen Station → Oswestry Station
Weston Wharf → Llynclys Station
These buses make it easy to enjoy all of our sites — please follow on-site signage and staff directions for boarding locations and timings.
Weekend locomotive roster
We’re running a mix of diesel-hauled heritage trains and regular service locomotives across the weekend:
Saturday 6 September
73129 & ‘Alun Evans’ — hauling heritage carriages between Oswestry & Weston (including the evening brewery service)
Brewery evening service runs on Saturday night — book early, spaces may be limited.
Sunday 7 September
144007 — operating trains between Oswestry & Weston
Both days at Llynclys
142055 will be operating throughout the weekend at Llynclys

Tickets & booking
Advance booking recommended for the brewery evening service and any reserved heritage-carriage journeys.
Standard fares apply for daytime services; heritage carriage supplements may apply.
Visitor information
Follow staff instructions for safe boarding and disembarking, especially where rail replacement buses are in use.
Children must be supervised at all times around the railway.
